According to the renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple’s glasses, a new iPad Pro and the iPhone SE 2 will be launched in the first half of 2020.
This 2019 is already coming to an end, and now we have an eye on the technological products that will reach the market for next year. Apart from the iPhone 12, the Cupertino company is preparing other devices by 2020, and Kuo has shared the possible roadmap for the first half of the year.
According to the analyst, in the first quarter of 2020, the corporation would present, on the one hand, the new iPad Pro models. The new generation of Apple’s most advanced tablet would be equipped with a 3D-oriented ToF sensor. This equipment would be similar to the TrueDepth camera system and would allow new iPad Pro to obtain accurate depth data, which is believed to be aimed at improving the augmented reality experience.
The iPhone SE 2 would also arrive in the first quarter of 2020. As Kuo pointed out a few days ago, it could have a design similar to that of the iPhone 8 and equip the Apple A13 processor.
The analyst’s roadmap places the launch of Apple’s augmented reality glasses for the second quarter of next year. A previous report last March already pointed to the arrival of the device by 2020, which according to its forecasts would be marketed as an iPhone accessory. According to Kuo, the Cupertino company will partner with other companies to launch their glasses.
However, there are still many questions about Apple glasses, and it is unknown if its design will be more similar to conventional glasses or virtual reality glasses.
The second quarter of 2020 could also be the time chosen to announce a new MacBook. It is not clear if it would be the rumored 16-inch MacBook Pro or a different model, but it is expected that it will be equipped with scissor keys.
At the moment there is no official information that can support Kuo’s forecasts, but the analyst has an extensive history of success behind him. We will see if the roadmap you have raised in your report is finally fulfilled.
